Welcome to the LSE SU Polish Society
The LSE SU Polish Society was established in October 2003 with the aim of uniting Poles and students with an interest in Poland, as well as promoting a better understanding of Polish history, contemporary culture, social and political life at our institution.
We are a LSE SU student organization with over 130 official LSE student members, of which more than 50 come from Poland, as well as many LSE Alumni and persons outside of the LSE interested in our events.
Until today, we have organized a number of lectures and meetings/dinners with distinguished speakers from the academic, political and economic area. Our most important past speakers that have come to the LSE, on our invitation, include: EU Commissioner for Regional Policy Danuta Huebner, Prime Minister of Poland Marek Belka, MP and leader of PO (Civic Platform) Jan Maria Rokita, and many more. Being a student organization it is natural for us to organize student parties, dinners and social gatherings for our members and others interested. In doing this we also stay in touch with other UK-based Polish student organizations. We are also striving to provide our members with the best career opportunities in the City and in Poland. Please view the 'Past Events' section of our website for details and a listing of all of our events.
The aims of our society are clearly expressed in our Mission Statement.
